Catawba Valley Behavioral Healthcare shall promote the welfare and dignity of persons who seek and engage needed services. Behavioral health and support services are designed to provide meaningful assistance to individuals in acquiring those physical, emotional, mental, and social skills necessary for effective functioning within their own person and/or environment and to promote recovery. The rights and uniqueness of all individuals are respected and they are to be served in the least restrictive and most appropriate community setting possible.

CVBH has Moved!

The CVBH Main Center has moved to downtown Hickory.


How Will You Find CVBH?

Doctors, therapists and Targeted Case Management are located at 327 1st Ave NW in Downtown Hickory in the old Duke Energy building. To get to the CVBH-Hickory new Main office at 327 1st Ave NW take Lenoir Rhyne Blvd towards downtown Hickory – turn left and take Tate Blvd/1st Ave SE which turns into 1st Ave SW into Downtown Hickory. Go to 4th St SW (at P. O. Barbecue) turn right and go over the railroad tracks. Turn right at the first street– you will see the two story former Duke Energy building on your left.

ACT Team and Community Support Team and part of Administration are at CVBH 4th St. Plaza. Take Lenoir Rhyne Blvd. to Tate Blvd./1st Ave SW into Downtown Hickory and it turns into 1st Ave SE – take this road to 4th St. SW and turn right. You will see a two story building across from Post Office Barbecue. This is CVBH 4th Street Plaza.
