The Application Process

MAT Jail Clinician

Job description

This position provides clinical support within the Catawba County detention facility’s Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. This position works closely with the contracted medical team within the facility by completing intake assessments which are used in determining eligibility for MAT program participation. The MAT Jail Clinician facilitates clinical groups with the Offenders enrolled in MAT program, focusing on substance use and brain health, teaching coping skills, decision-making skills, anger management, and others. This position will work with MAT participants, one on one, to complete post release planning and coordination. MAT Clinician will provide overflow and additional support to other jail clinicians as availability determines

Health Equity Coordinator

Job description

Catawba Valley Healthcare seeks an Associate or Qualified Professional full-time Health Equity Coordinator w will address systemic healthcare and social service issues by assisting individuals to have greater access to healthcare and by helping them address multiple Social Determinants of Health issue. This position will facilitate access to quality whole-person healthcare for our patients in Burke and Catawba Counties, especially those participating in our integrated care program. The staff person will become SOAR certified to assist at least 20 unique individuals with submitting SSI, SSDI, and/or Medicaid applications. In addition, he or she will work to identify and address SDOH needs through the use of NCCARES360 or other community mechanisms.

This position is grant-funded.

IDD/MH Group Home Direct Support Professional-Overnight-Full Time

Catawba Valley Healthcare (CVH) is a non-profit organization that includes adult residential group home services as one of its programs. The group homes are located in Catawba County, NC. CVH has immediate openings for 2 full-time direct support professionals as well as part-time and PRN.

The residents of the group homes are either adults with intellectual developmental disabilities or behavioral health. No skilled nursing care required.

Seeking staff for overnight shifts and shifts during the week. Staff are not awake staff. 7 nights on and 7 nights off. Days during the 7 day shift are not on site.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalency. Will drive a van as needed. Applicants must have a good driving record.

Data Analyst

Job description

This position is with a local non-profit integrated care setting focused on behavioral health and primary care. CVH serves the uninsured and underinsured. This position will work under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer and Quality Management Director.

  • Manage EHR reporting process for “dashboard” reports in coordination with QM Director
  • Produce reports from EHR and other sources
  • Produce reports from Care Management platform
  • Coordinate data collection and reporting process with QM Director, Chief Clinical Officer, and other relevant managers, such as SDOH reports, productivity reports, consumer satisfaction reports, staff satisfaction reports.

Required Training and Experience

  • Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) programming

Psychiatric NP/PA

Job description

Catawba Valley Healthcare, a non-profit Integrated Care practice based in the foothills of North Carolina, is seeking a full-time or part-time psychiatric provider. The psychiatric provider will join a team of psychiatrists, Primary Care providers, mid-level providers, and outpatient therapists to provide integrated care for individuals who have psychiatric needs. Other services available within CVH include ACTT, Mobile Crisis, Jail Services, Residential and Day services for individuals with SPMI as well as IDD.

Therapist for the ACT Team

Job description

Catawba Valley Healthcare seeks a full-time licensed/associate therapist with at least two years’ experience to work as part of an ACT team based out of Hickory NC.

This position will provide therapy and case management services to the individuals who meet criteria and choose to participate in the Assertive Community Treatment team. This person will serve as the therapist for clients on the team. The person hired will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will offer therapy, case management services including assistance in accessing resources, medication management, transportation, etc. The position is in office and in the community.

Must be licensed in NC as a LCSW-A, LCSW, LMHC-A or LMHC,LMFT etc. and 2 years of experience.

Front Desk Specialist

Job description

Catawba Valley Healthcare seeking experienced staff for front desk position.

Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The front desk staff will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate staff, checking consumers in and out, and collecting co-payments and co-insurance as required.

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment interacting with the public.

Outpatient Therapist/LCSW-A

Job description 

The Licensed/Provisionally Licensed Therapist will work in the beautiful foothills of western North Carolina with easy access to the mountains and a four-hour drive to the Atlantic coast beaches. The licensed therapist will provide treatment in the outpatient therapy department, full-time or part-time, working in a forward-thinking comprehensive outpatient therapy department. The licensed/provisionally licensed therapist will complete comprehensive clinical assessments, provide individual and group therapy, as well as related case support. Prior experience providing treatment to individuals with serious mental illness, and/or co-occurring disorders is preferred. The licensed/provisionally licensed therapist must be an advocate for individuals with behavioral health conditions. Previous experience in a non-profit organization is a plus. Some non-traditional hours may be required depending on the position offered. Candidates must be licensed/provisionally licensed to practice as an LCSW, LMHC, LPA, or LMFT in North Carolina. 

General Knowledge and Skills Required:

Knowledge of evidence-based practices in relation to treatment of individuals with mental illness or dual diagnoses. Ability to successfully interact with a diverse population displaying both linguistic and cultural humility. Ability to provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices with a diverse population. Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively. Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing, including excellent computer skills.

Position: Re-Entry Specialist

Job description:

This position will work as part of CVH’s Jail Services Programs within the Catawba, Lincoln or Burke County Detention Centers. The focus will be helping Returning Citizens upon their release from jail, identify and connect with needed resources within the community that will prevent them from reoffending through intensive case management services. This will include work both within the Detention center and out in the community with individuals and other outside agencies. Some transportation of individuals will be expected. This is a fast paced position and requires high level of self sufficiency. Supervision provided, strong work ethic and a compassionate personality is needed.

Position requirements: Minimum Associates Degree (AP) in Human Services or related field and/or NC Certified PSS (CPSS), minimum of 2 yrs experience in Case Management Must have valid Driver’s License and auto insurance. Cannot have more than 3 points on current Driving Record. Cannot have any legal issues (including probation) within the past 5 year.

 

Position: Pre-Trial Diversion Specialist

Job description:

This position will work as part of CVH’s Jail Services Programs within the Lincoln County Detention Center. The focus will be working closely with the county District Attorney and the Offender to find appropriate residential treatment facilities that meet the court’s requirements. The objective is to get offenders who struggle with substance misuse into treatment rather than jail. This is a fast paced position and requires high level of self sufficiency. Supervision provided, strong work ethic and a compassionate personality is needed.

Position requirements: Minimum Associates Degree (AP) in Human Services or related field and/or NC Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS), minimum of 2 yrs experience in Case Management Must have valid Driver’s License and auto insurance.
